Major Honors & Awards
Professor Thomas has received extensive recognition for his contributions to the field, including Fellowship in ASM International (2009), multiple Robert W. Hunt Silver Medals from the Iron and Steel Society, the MPMD Distinguished Scientist/Engineer Award (2008), and a Presidential Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation (1989). He received the Marcus A. Grossmann Young Author Award in 1997 and the Rossiter W. Raymond Award in 1991.
